Outcomes & Objectives
This course will cover the fundamental principles that are important in understanding how lasers interact with different types of tissue and, using this knowledge, how to apply these principles in aesthetic applications. There will be an emphasis on safety in the use of the laser and in the delivery of treatment. It will also be suitable to those who are comparatively new to this area of work and as a refresher to those who have been active for many years.
Participants will gain a good knowledge of the basic process of laser-tissue interactions, safe use of lasers and IPLs, the different types of devices available, how to achieve good results and avoid adverse effects in laser hair removal, treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions, and tattoo removal.

ProfessorHarry Moseley has extensive experience as an expert witness in cases involving lasers and ultra-violet radiation (including sunbeds). He is President of the British Medical LaserAssociation, Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, Fellow of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, Fellow of the Institute of Physics and Fellow of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine. He has lectured widely and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
