Why do you offer four different types of teeth straightening systems?
At Vilafortuny, we work with our patients in Dubai to create their desired smile, with a treatment plan that works for their individual lifestyle. This differs for every patient. We offer four advanced techniques in teeth straightening to provide a full complement of choices for our patients.
As an overview,
Invisalign is a teeth straightening system using clear, invisible plastic aligners, that can be used for a number of dental concerns such as crooked or overlapping teeth. Invisalign fits over teeth snugly and isn’t visible to the untrained eye, making it ideal for those patients who want a discreet tooth straightening option in Dubai. There are also no painful metal brackets or tightening and patients can remove the aligner to eat and drink any kind of food.
Incognito lingual braces are a discreet and gentle wire and bracket system that is placed behind your teeth, meaning that you can’t see the braces when you smile. Custom-made brackets tailored to your teeth are created using state of the art technology to give you the desired result without painful tightening.
Ceramic braces are the same size and shape as traditional metal braces but are made from ceramic and tooth-colored wires, making them an ideal choice for patients who want a more traditional brace system but without the esthetic of metal braces.
The Damon System is a metal brace with a difference – it is a self-ligating concept, taking away the need for metal or elastic ligatures. This can be more hygienic, offers less discomfort than traditional braces and patients often find the treatment time reduced by up to 50%.
What is the exact cost?
At Vilafortuny we work with every individual patient to create the perfect treatment plan for their dental concerns. When it comes to teeth straightening in Dubai, there are number of options available, with different cost implications. The treatment options offered by Vilafortuny often shorten treatment time overall and lessen the number of appointments needed during treatment, which can reduce costs compared to traditional treatment. For more information about treatment costs for your individual dental needs, you can visit our resident Orthodontist for a consultation.
Can I pay by card?
We do accept all major credit and debit cards for payment for teeth straightening treatment in Dubai. We also offer a variety of payment options at Vilafortuny in Dubai to offer flexibility for our patients depending on their individual circumstances and budget.
How can I pay for treatment?
You can choose to pay for your teeth straightening treatment in one payment upfront or spread the cost across your treatment time. Whether Invisalign or one of our other teeth straightening options, we offer a twelve month interest free payment plan option, or a long interest paying payment plan option. You can discuss payment options in detail with one of our dedicated Treatment Coordinators.
Can I spread the cost?
We understand that depending on your budget and lifestyle, you may want the option to spread the cost of your teeth straightening treatment, rather than pay in one lump sum at the start of treatment. We have options available for a twelve month interest free payment plan, or a longer interest paying option. You can discuss your payment options for teeth straightening in Dubai in detail with your dedicated Treatment Coordinator to get the right plan in place for your budget.
If I choose Invisalign, will it do exactly what it shows on the screen?
As part of the Invisalign consultation process, you will see how your smile will look at the end of treatment. This is your Invisalign Clincheck 3D treatment plan, created just for your smile. Providing you follow the treatment plan, you can rest assured that by the end of treatment your smile will look like the picture you have been shown before treatment starts. You can even follow your progress using the Invisalign App, available to download in Dubai.
Will I need to have any teeth removed?
During your initial teeth straightening consultation, our orthodontist will conduct a comprehensive consultation, discussing your dental concerns and your desired smile. While it is never the preferred option to extract healthy teeth, our orthodontist will explain the treatment plan options available for your desired smile. That is why it is vital you choose an experienced and highly skilled orthodontist, like Dr Nizar Ishaq at Vilafortuny in Dubai, who can draw on a wealth of experience of past complex cases to choose the right teeth straightening procedure for your individual smile. Using state of the art teeth straightening technologies can help avoid the need for teeth extraction before treatment.
How many appointments do I need and can I book them in advance?
The number and frequency of appointments needed will vary from patient to patient. There are a number of factors involved in this. It will depend on the teeth straightening treatment option you choose – for example, on average patients using an Invisalign system visit us once every 6-8 weeks, once treatment has begun, to monitor progress and receive new aligners. Whereas patients choosing the Damon system will need on average up to 50% less appointments than patients using a more traditional ceramic brace system.
When our orthodontist creates your unique treatment plan, you will have a better idea of how many appointments you will need. Booking in advance may be an option in some cases but as it will depend how your individual teeth respond to treatment, this may not always be possible.
How will I be looked after?
At Vilafortuny in Dubai we pride ourselves on our excellent, patient-centred dental care. We always ensure our patients fully understand all the options available for treatment and choose the right treatment plan for their needs from a range of state of the art technologies, such as Invisalign. Our highly experienced and dedicated team bring their wealth of experience and expertise to provide you with the highest possible quality of treatment in our purpose built facility in Dubai.
What if something doesn’t go to plan, will it cost me more?
At Vilafortuny in Dubai, our highly experienced and dedicated specialist resident orthodontist Dr Nizar Ishaq, and his team, create individual teeth straightening treatment plans for each patient. This is based on a comprehensive assessment, with x-rays and digital scans, a tooth mould and physical examination, and using state of the art technology. The treatment plans are accurate and costed, to give our patients a clear idea of how to plan with regards to budget and lifestyle. In the unlikely event that extra treatment is required, this would be discussed fully with the patient and added to the treatment plan and any payment plan.
Will my teeth stay straight forever after the orthodontic treatment is completed?
Once your teeth straightening treatment is completed, your teeth will have moved into the position for your desired smile. As you will have experienced, your teeth are able to move and this will continue to be the case, once treatment has finished. That is not to say that your teeth will immediately move back to their former positions, but over time, your teeth may start to shift again naturally. That is why your specialist orthodontist will recommend the use of a retainer, on a regular basis, to maintain your new smile.
