What are the tell-tale signs to look out for if you think your health is not at its best
It is the season of rising temperatures across the Emirates that can often signal the onset of tiredness, lethargy and the lack of motivation to do any form of exercise.
You may snore at night, but get at least 5-6 hours’ sleep?
There is a mass holiday exodus from at work, friends and acquaintances seem to be heading off on leave and you are stuck here – It’s not fair and frankly depressing.
Becoming easily negative or irritable, losing patience more than before, perhaps a little more road rage?
Not been to the dentist for a while, your teeth are fine and don’t have any pain. Muscle tension or joint aches, digestion complaints, stool consistency or concentrated urine! Tongue is not consistency red, but a bit too white or yellow!
If you face any of the above, then you are probably not at 100% of physical and mental health. It’s important to take an objective look at yourself.
TIP:
Take a Mental Health Day from Work with a relaxing activity
Make sure your socialising, smiling and experiencing a ‘real connection’ with a friend, weekly.
Regular flossing & get a preventative dental hygiene check and cleaning every 6 months.
Prioritize self-care – We often take care of the kids/pets/plants before we look after No.1.
Cut the blue light before bedtime (No screens) – Read a book / magazine / kindle.
Get a blood pressure and some blood work checked – It could be as simple as a Vitamin deficiency.
TRICK:
Don’t wait for the storm to come and don’t freak yourself out with ‘google doctor’ advice – Love and look after yourself.
