How many appointments do I need and can I book them in advance?
The number and frequency of appointments needed will vary from patient to patient. There are a number of factors involved in this. It will depend on the teeth straightening treatment option you choose – for example, on average patients using an Invisalign system visit us once every 6-8 weeks, once treatment has begun, to monitor progress and receive new aligners. Whereas patients choosing the Damon system will need on average up to 50% less appointments than patients using a more traditional ceramic brace system.
When our orthodontist creates your unique treatment plan, you will have a better idea of how many appointments you will need. Booking in advance may be an option in some cases but as it will depend how your individual teeth respond to treatment, this may not always be possible.
