Those who qualify for fat transfer have at least one of the following issues:
loss of breast or buttock volume.
Facial hollowing or wrinkling from aging.
Skin depressions or scars.
Patients must be in good health and have adequate body fat before the procedure.
The first stage of fat grafting is the consultation, during which you and your surgeon will talk about your goals, your health, any previous surgeries you’ve had, and your daily routine. During this consultation, we will also answer any questions or address any concerns you may have.
After injecting local anesthetic, the surgeon will use a thin needle to remove fat cells from the treatment area. Once the fat is removed, it is injected into the desired location. Due to the fact that the patient’s own tissue is being injected, an allergic reaction is highly unlikely.
Bandages will be applied to the injected areas of the body after the procedure is complete. Possible initial redness and swelling will go down after a few days. If you’ve had fat transferred to your hips or breasts, it’s best to avoid sitting or lying on those areas for the time being. On the other hand, recovery times differ from patient to patient. Strenuous physical activity is discouraged for two weeks following the procedure. However, most patients can return to work after a week.
The results of a fat transfer can be seen right away, and they will continue to improve as the patient heals. Most patients report feeling more optimistic after they have fully recovered. Although the effects of a fat transfer are permanent, further treatments may be needed to achieve optimal results.
