Over the next few months, we will be giving you some tips and tricks on how to stay healthy and strong over the summer months and maintain a healthy immune system.
To bolster your immunity is easier said than done, several dietary and lifestyle changes may strengthen your body’s natural defences. We will start with a snapshot of your diet:
Tip: Eat a rainbow of vegetables and fruits daily to ensure you’re getting a variety of nutrients. Reduce how much you consume of processed foods, sugar and beverages that have few nutrients such as soda and alcoholic drinks. Lean proteins and complex carbohydrates, like brown rice and quinoa, are also part of a healthy diet.
Trick: So the next time your killing time on social media, switch to a nutrition page and see if you can add something healthy (or take something out) to your daily diet!
